Behind OmniProp
OmniProp® is an advanced neutral-buoyancy proppant engineered to maximize reservoir performance through superior transport, placement, and long-term conductivity. Unlike conventional sand, OmniProp® delivers engineered mechanical integrity designed to protect and enhance reservoir value.
Manufactured as a patented thermoset nanocomposite, OmniProp® incorporates high-strength nanoparticles within polymeric chains using a proprietary suspension polymerization process. Sun’s rapid-rate, chain-entanglement manufacturing technology produces perfectly spherical, consistently sized, high-strength neutrally buoyant proppant with exceptional batch-to-batch uniformity.
Developed and refined by Sun scientists over the past two decades, this technology has been proven across hundreds of reservoirs in both conventional and unconventional environments worldwide.
OmniProp® provides cost-effective production enhancement by improving proppant transport and reservoir conductivity, delivering measurable performance gains and increased asset value with every application.

Sun is actively collaborating with key strategic partners in the critical minerals and rare earth element industries to develop and commercialize advanced products and technologies for application across emerging industrial supply chains globally.
Sun has partnered with ExSorbtion, Inc. to manufacture and scale production of ExSorbtion’s patented hybrid metal ion sieve sorbent for Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) applications. ExSorbtion’s sorbent is a porous nanoparticle-infused composite and provides for very high lithium-ion selectivity while incorporating an imprinted binder which provides additional sites for lithium-ion adsorption. ExSorbtion’s DLE technology is next generation and truly unique in terms of its value proposition compared to other sorbent-based DLE technologies.
